An animated series designed to help kids understand realities of our world today & help kids cultivate important life skills.
Action Nat and the Cat is an animated series about a 6 year old Filipina girl and her cat as they go on adventures with friends and family. Written by 12-year-old Natalie, the show is designed to help kids understand the realities of our world today and also help kids cultivate important life skills.
As a response to the developing situation, our producers hosted an "Action Nat and the Cat Takes Action" Town Hall with our young Black and Brown cast members, their parents, a few members of our crew, a licensed clinical social worker, an attorney, and a child psychologist.
This week, the Action Nat’s platform continued to create content to help educate and inform both parents and kids.
As a response to the developing situation, our producers hosted an "Action Nat and the Cat Takes Action" Town Hall with our young Black and Brown cast members, their parents, a few members of our crew, a licensed clinical social worker, an attorney, and a child psychologist. Topics include the definitions of some powerful words kids are hearing including "Racism", "Protest vs. Riot", and "Say Their Names.” Action Nat also spoke to kid cast members about their personal experiences, fears, and learn what to do when you're arrested or lost in a crowd.
The Town Hall’s celebrity fueled cast includes Christian Isaiah from Showtime’s Shameless and his mom, brother and sister Micah Abbey from Grey’s Anatomy and Nickelodeon’s Cousins for Life and CeCe Abbey aka Ruby Rails and can be seen on the girl powered YouTube Channel GoldieBlox and their mom, Elle Sinio daughter of Edgar "Artek606” Sinio, music producer for Apl.de.Ap and The Black Eyed Peas and more.
We hope this very special town hall helps address the fears of children and parents and provides answers and resources to help us work through this all.

Action Nat & the Cat song lyrics were provided by Daniel French, French is an award-winning broadcaster and podcaster who started his path in radio at the Mighty 690 WTIX in New Orleans, Louisiana. While rising through the ranks as a board operator, writer, and producer, French found himself as morning drive co-host at one of the most critical points in that city's history, during Hurricane Katrina, an experience that would color the rest of career. It was a stark reminder that broadcasters can still have a civic responsibility to discern truth from fiction and that the time to be at one's best is when the rest of civil order is crumbling.
